This specimen is a cast of a lower right
molar from a fairly recent animal. As you may notice, the lateral view
displays the high mound of this tooth, it is deeply ridged and by viewing
the occlusal surface you will notice quite a few ridges of enamel.
It is more than likely that this animal was Mammuthus primigenius (Woolly
Mammoth). Polygon counts: Original 100,000; 30,000 before compression Time: Late Wisconsiaan Locality: Blaine, Atoka Co., WI. Specimen: P8143 |
